Enquiries About Results

In relation to externally assessed examinations, any enquiry about results must be made through the school. All post result service requests are submitted on-line by the Examinations Officer and in accordance with the JCQ guidelines.

Candidates must provide their informed consent for clerical checks and post-results reviews of marking.

Approval must be received before application is made. Candidates need to be aware that a grade may be lowered.

Requests for re-marks are usually made by the Head of Department for the subject concerned. The request must then be approved by the Head of Centre before being submitted by the Examinations Officer.

Should a candidate wish to make an enquiry about a result that is not supported by the school, even after consultation with the Examinations Officer and Head of Department, the re-mark will be requested after receipt of the cost of the appeal.

It is important to note that there is a deadline – usually September 20th for applications. The Examinations Officer will advise of changes to the date where the 20th falls at a weekend.
