Dear parent / carer
As you will be aware the Met Office are predicting a high probability of snow and extremely cold temperatures over the weekend of 9th-10th December 2017.
Due to this there is a possibility that travel may be disrupted on Monday which may force the school to consider adjustments to its normal service including the possibility of full or partial closure.
Please be reassured It is our firm commitment to remain open as far as it is safe and reasonable to do so.
In the event that there are any adjustments necessary due to adverse weather conditions we will advise all parents of this via the School App in the alerts section and also on the School Website homepage. We will be partially dependent upon decisions made by bus companies.
Announcements will also be made on Radio Humberside and Lincs FM.
Please may I stress that if you do not receive any alerts or notices as described above then the school will be open for students as usual. However, please check for updates, particularly on Monday, as conditions may force bus transport to pick up from school earlier than usual.
The app is available to download for free by searching for “Sir John Nelthorpe School” in either the Apple or Google Play App Stores. You should download the app that displays our school logo. For security purposes please email email@example.com to request the school access code, you will be asked to enter this when you register. A red flag will indicate that a message is waiting under the alerts section.
