Sir John Nelthorpe School

Our Community

Sir John Nelthorpe School is a community built on the trust and respect that underpins the relationships that exist between pupils and staff. These relationships are at the heart of explaining the warm, happy, family atmosphere that lives in our school.

As a community, we celebrate the individuality of our pupils. Although as a school we are committed to achieving the highest academic standards, our aim is provide opportunities for all of our pupils to discover where their talents lie, whether that be academic, sporting, in the arts, or by showing leadership skills or a willingness to take on a school commitment that requires responsibility.

Our Community stretches beyond the doors of the school. We have a commitment to build strong working relations with the local community and the local people. Businesses and groups are encouraged to work with us to build links that go beyond education.

We are proud to be situated in the heart of the town and regularly take part in events that involve the wider community.
