Teaching Assistant (Level 2) – Maternity Cover
Term Time plus 5 days

32.5hrs per week (8:30am - 3:30pm, Mon-Fri)

Salary scale 5-9 (Grade 4) £18,795-£20,344 (pro-rata (15,169-£14,014)

Sir John Nelthorpe School is a successful and popular 11-19 mixed comprehensive school with a rapidly growing roll (currently 759 students). It has a caring ethos and a long tradition of academic attainment.

We are looking to appoint a caring and committed Level 2 teaching assistant initially to cover maternity for a period of 6 months. You will be working with a dedicated team to help support students access to teaching and learning. You will experience whole class, small group work and working with individuals on a one to one basis. We are seeking a friendly and caring person who is able to establish positive working relationships with children and adults.

Applicants should have a good standard of general education including Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE grade C or higher or equivalent).
