We're top of the National GCSE League Tables for North Lincolnshire!!!!

Today's publication by the Department For Education has confirmed that Sir John Nelthorpe School is top of the GCSE National League Table for North Lincolnshire. More information about school examination performance, including comparisons with other schools locally and nationally is available on the Department for Education website.

GCSE

5+ A*-C (EM)

74% of the cohort achieved 5+ A*-C grades including English and Maths.

For the third year running these are the best results in North Lincolnshire and in the top 20% nationally.

EBacc

41% of the cohort achieved the English Baccalaureate. (English, Maths, Science, Geography/History and a Modern Foreign Language).

Progress (KS2-KS4)

85% of the cohort made the progress expected in English between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4.

79% of the cohort made the progress expected in maths between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4.

Sixth Form

We are very pleased with our excellent A Level results this year. They are the culmination of a tremendous amount of hard work from both the students and staff.

A Level Results

Pass Rate = 99%

A*-C = 67%

A*-B = 44%

There are some high individual achievements. Joe McWilliam achieving A* in Biology and Drama and A's in Chemistry and Maths, he will go on to read Biomedical Science at Durham University. Ronan Musselwhite achieved an A* in Maths and A's in Biology, Drama and Chemistry, he will read Medicine at Manchester University. Ben Jowett achieved an A* in Chemistry and A's in Physics and Maths he will also read Medicine at Manchester.

94% of students successfully gained their first choice university; others are starting on apprenticeships or moving into employment. We wish you all good luck!!
