In keeping with the long standing tradition of Sir John Nelthorpe the Outward Bound trip took place over the weekend of May 8-10th.
Sir John Nelthorpe presented a cheque to Brian Taylor from the British Heart Foundation for £940 from the Fun Run held in November.
In March we took 30 Year 9 students to a languages workshop day in North Lincolnshire.
The key stage 3 badminton team represented North Lincolnshire at the regional finals in March and finished joint second in the region.
Almost 60 year 5 pupils from Broughton Primary School visited Sir John Nelthorpe School to experience some fun and challenging science activities.
On Tuesday 17th March, four pupils from Sir John Nelthorpe School took part in the regional final of the UKMT Team Maths Challenge 2015.
Pupils will be aware that there is a lot going on in the school to commemorate the outbreak of World War 1 in 1914.
In February half term students from years 9, 10, 11 and the lower 6th visited the ski resort of Folgaria in Italy.
Congratulations to the A team who easily qualified for the final of the KS3 badminton in January.
Congratulations to the Sir John Nelthorpe School cross country team that represented the school at Central Park Scunthorpe on Wednesday 3rd December.
The year 8 football team attended Fred Gough school and reached the quarter final.
Congratulations to the KS4 Badminton team who qualified for the North Lincolnshire finals on Thursday 27th November at The Vale academy.
Congratulations to the KS4 boys who finished 2nd and 3rd in North Lincolnshire and good luck to the girls who play their final on Monday 1st December 2014.
The PE department had a rewards day with coaching from Scunthorpe United captain and goalkeeper Sam Slocombe.
The U16 netball team were in action over the weekend representing North Lincolnshire in the County netball competition.
A letter regarding changes to the cashless catering system has been sent home.
In July 2014 we organised 2 days of creative activities for our local Y5 pupils.
After the first memorial had been created Mrs Gillies realised she had enough money for a second memorial.
